This adorable cat, named Daisy, has a very cute “squeak” when she talks to you! We know she would make a wonderful addition to any family. Daisy was adopted out as a kitten from AC PAW, but she was sadly returned by her owner due to life changes. She is now 6 1/2 years old and would love to find her forever home. She is a wonderful girl! Daisy is very gentle, friendly, and loving.
Daisy will be featured at our adoptions at PetSmart in Traverse City this weekend to celebrate Black Cat Awareness Day! Please stop by to meet her and our other adoptable black kitties.
Brady, the dog who was lost last weekend at The Homestead, has been found and has been reunited with his family! He just came to visit us at the Slice of the Good Life Fundraiser at Riverfront Pizza & Specialties of Glen Arbor Michigan. What a cutie!! :)
Have you ever wondered what costs go into rescuing a pet?
(Oh, and lots of love too!)
Hi, I’m Syd! I’ve been with AC PAW for a very long time. My original owner didn’t want me and put me in a taped up box. It was on a hot July day and luckily a nice gentleman who was walking by was curious enough to check the box. If he hadn’t checked, I surely wouldn’t be here to tell my story. The nice man called AC PAW right away! After a while in a loving foster home I was adopted by a very nice couple. My days were looking brighter and I was happy. Sadly my new owner passed away, so I have been back with the nice folks at AC PAW. I’ve been a little sad due to my string of bad luck, but I have a bright future and I would love to be your best friend and companion. I’m a 7 1/2 year old black kitty. I’ve been very patient waiting for my new home. Stop by and meet me at PetSmart this weekend!
Smokey is a very sweet and loving girl! She has been left with a little bit of a belly since she had kittens, but two visits to the vet confirmed that she is a very healthy cat. We think Smokey had a pretty rough life before coming to AC PAW, so we are hoping someone will open up their heart and give her a home with the love she deserves. You can meet Smokey at PetSmart in Traverse City. She is a very pretty long haired gray four year old cat.
Fostering pets saves lives! \u003C3
We are in need of more foster volunteers. We ask that you provide a temporary home and care for kittens, puppies, dogs, or cats. Some pets may only need a home for several days or weeks, while others may need several months of care. By offering your home, you prepare that pet for adoption into his or her forever home. We can tell you it’s a rewarding experience to help an animal in need!
If you’re interested in fostering, please fill out our form at http://ift.tt/1qPY512
Nola’s recent past has been terrible, but we’re hoping for a better future! In February, Nola was left in her carrier at the door of an apartment complex with a note explaining that her owners could no longer care for her. Luckily someone took her in and called AC PAW, but then let her outside by mistake, and she ran away. She was outside during a week of –30 degree temperatures at night. When our AC PAW volunteers finally found her, she was dangerously thin with frostbitten paws and tail.
After several months in her foster home, her paws have healed and she has gained weight. The end of her tail was too damaged and had to be amputated. We think her new shorter tail is very cute!
Now that Nola is healthy and happy, her personality is emerging! She is still a little timid at times, but she is very sweet, gentle, and playful! She loves to be petted and held in a lap. With a bit of time and patience, she forms a trusting bond with people, and she lives peacefully with other cats.
Sundance and Butch are an adorable brother/sister duo. They were owner-relinquished to AC PAW as their owner had to move and could not take them along. They are both very sweet and very gentle kitties. Sundance is a beautiful female black cat with medium length hair. Her brother, Butch, is a handsome black cat with short hair. They have never been apart and are very close to each other, so we would like them to be adopted to the same home. Sundance and Butch are six years old. You can meet them at PetSmart in Traverse City.
A very good reminder for pet parents as the temps start to rise again…
Have you met the beautiful Skyler yet? This sweet girl is a 10 1/2 year old special needs cat. She is very susceptible to urinary tract infections and will have to be on a special diet for the rest of her life. In order to stay healthy and avoid infections, she must be on a diet of food that supports urinary tract health. Cranberry supplements are also a great treat for Skyler and will help keep her healthy. This sweet girl has been depressed and would love to find a home to call her own forever. Skyler is a very loving cat and still has many quality years left to be a wonderful friend and companion for someone. She is a tiger and white short haired kitty with the most beautiful green eyes!
