Yoda would be so happy if he could find his new forever home! His foster mom says he is the greatest cat who loves to cuddle and sit on your lap. When Yoda comes to PetSmart for adoptions, it is very stressful for him. He would much rather be at home hanging out with his foster family. He loves to talk and when he is unhappy about something he will definitely let you know. It is what is known as a “cat attitude”. So when Yoda comes up to PetSmart he talks a lot! He really is such a sweet guy and would love the chance to prove it if someone would just give him the chance. Yoda is a very handsome eight month old domestic medium haired black kitty. He will be at PetSmart this weekend during our adoption hours.
Misty Mittens (also known as M & M) is a very soft and sweet girl who loves to be held and petted. She also loves to explore and snuggle in blankets. She is shy and slow to warm up to small children, but she is good with other cats. Misty Mittens is a seven month old gray domestic short haired kitten with extra toes. You can meet Misty Mittens at PetSmart in Traverse City!
We’d love to thank this very awesome 7 year old, named Katelyn, for her wonderful donation to AC PAW!
Katelyn’s family adopted an AC PAW kitty and she became motivated to help other pets in need. By making rainbow loom bracelets and selling them for a donation, she was able to raise $44 for AC PAW! Her mom said, “anybody can help and help comes in many different ways.” Beautifully said! Thank you, Katelyn and family! \u003C3
We still have 2014 calendars! They are now just $6.00. All proceeds go to help our rescue pets.
Our Pet of the Week: Gulliver!
Gulliver came to AC PAW when one of our volunteers received a call that someone had been hearing the cry of what they thought was a kitten for 3-4 days in the wall of their home. They finally cut a hole in the wall, only to pull out an almost lifeless cat. They think he must have crawled up in the wall trying to keep warm. Gulliver was taken to Bay Area Pet Hospital, Traverse City Michiganl. He was dehydrated, malnourished, and suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection. He weighed barely four pounds. The vet is guessing him to be around 12 years old. It is hard to determine because he has lost all his teeth. He does have to eat mostly wet food or moistened dry food but Gulliver has an enormous appetite and has already gained three pounds. He just had a visit to the vet and he is doing great! Gulliver is the sweetest, most gentle loving cat who still has many quality years ahead of him. We will never know what his life was like before he came to AC PAW. We feel he must have been a stray for some time, but he is a real survivor. You can meet Gulliver this Saturday at PetSmart during our adoption hours.
Cat adoptions continue at 1:00pm today! We have many wonderful cats and kittens looking for a second chance at life.
Don’t forget! Today is the Winter Dog Walk sponsored by Pet Sitters Network North at the Traverse City Civic Center. Break your cabin fever, bring your pets, and have some fun enjoying the fresh air.
Ziva has been patiently waiting for that special someone to come meet her, fall in love with her, and take her home. She is such a cute, gentle, and loving kitty. She came to AC PAW when a very caring couple found her stray and brought her to us. Ziva is a beautiful one year old black and white kitty with a very cute half mustache. She is a great cat who gets along well with other cats. You can meet Ziva this weekend at PetSmart during our weekend adoption hours. She is such a special girl and we would love to see her find her forever home.
